As a professional supplier, if you are looking for a high-performance analog input module that can simultaneously connect thermocouples, thermoresistors, and millivolt voltage signals for your factory's Flex I/O system, would you like to know more about it? Feimu Technology presents this Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH to you. This is an 8-channel isolated analog input module with powerful functions. Through a rigorous testing process, we simulate the changes in ambient temperature to ensure that the linearity and accuracy of each channel meet the factory standards.
Feimu Technology offers the Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH. This product is specifically designed to convert the continuous changing signals from industrial sites - such as temperature, pressure or flow - into digital language that the controller can understand. It is different from ordinary current-type modules. It is specially responsible for handling isolated signals and has extremely strong anti-interference ability. We always keep this product in stock here to complete the most crucial piece of the puzzle for your Flex I/O system, so that you don't have to seek help from everyone for this single module.
Product Performance
This Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH model supports the HART communication protocol, which means it not only can read the 4-20mA current value, but also can "talk" with the on-site intelligent instruments to obtain more diagnostic information inside the instruments. Its conversion accuracy is particularly high, capable of capturing even the slightest changes in the field. And in the factory that kind of electromagnetic environment is particularly messy, its isolation performance plays a big role, can effectively prevent the outside interference signal to mess up the data, to ensure that the data transmitted to PLC is true and reliable.
Product Features
This Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH has a very unique feature, which is its "channel-to-channel isolation". Many ordinary modules have common grounds for several channels, so if one ground wire is wrongly connected or there is a strong interference, all the channels may be affected. But this one is different. Each channel is independently isolated. Even if one channel fails, it won't affect the others. It is particularly suitable for those sites with complex signal sources and poor grounding conditions. Another feature is that it is very energy-efficient and generates very little heat. Even if it is installed in a sealed cabinet, there is no need to worry about poor heat dissipation and overheating of the surrounding area.
Actual certification standards
Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH is certified with UL/cULus labels, which actually complies with the safety standards of the United States and Canada. It has passed the CE certification and holds ATEX and IECEx certifications. The design and manufacturing meet strict standards, allowing for safe use in hazardous locations where there is potential for explosive gases. It is used in the oil, gas, and chemical industries.
Company Advantages
Feimu Technology has been operating in this industry for many years, and its success is attributed to its understanding of the value of these specialized products. We are not the kind of company that merely sells general digital modules. We also have a substantial inventory of these special analog modules. Many customers have to switch to this isolation module due to high interference in the field, but it is difficult to find such modules on the market. We usually have them in stock here. What we aim to do is to ensure that when you are dealing with difficult problems in the field, you won't be hindered by the hardware.

HART Protocol
The 1794-IF8IH supports HART communication. HART (Highway Addressable Remote Transducer) is a hybrid protocol that allows digital communication over traditional 4-20mA analog wiring.
What HART does:
Analog signal: The 4-20mA current signal carries the primary process variable (pressure, temperature, flow).
Digital communication: A digital signal is superimposed on the same 4-20mA wiring. This digital signal carries additional information.
Two-way communication: The PLC can read data from the transmitter and also send commands to it.
HART data available:
Diagnostic information: Sensor status, electronics temperature, calibration history.
Configuration: The PLC can change transmitter settings (range, damping, units).
Asset management: Identify the transmitter model, serial number, and revision status.
Quality indicators: Signal quality, percent of range, and alarm status.
Field benefit: A customer had a pressure transmitter that was reading incorrectly. Using HART, they read the diagnostics and found the sensor was saturated. The transmitter was checked and recalibrated. Without HART, they would have assumed the module was faulty and replaced it unnecessarily.
Channel Isolation
The 1794-IF8IH provides isolation between every channel and between channels and the ground. This is a significant advantage over non-isolated modules.
Condition
Without Isolation
With Isolation (1794-IF8IH)
Ground loop
Affects all channels. Causes fluctuating readings.
Isolation breaks the ground loop. Readings stay stable.
High common-mode voltage
Damages the module or causes incorrect readings.
Module handles up to ±400V common mode voltage.
Wiring error on one channel
May damage other channels sharing the same ground.
Isolation protects other channels.
Lightning or surge on signal cable
Damage spreads to other channels and backplane.
Isolation limits the damage to the affected channel.
Field issue example: A customer installed 1794-IF8IH modules in a water treatment plant. The plant had long sensor cables running near VFD cables. Without isolation, the readings fluctuated. With the 1794-IF8IH, the readings remained stable. Isolation solved the ground loop problem.
Wiring for HART
The 1794-IF8IH supports both 2-wire and 4-wire transmitters with HART communication.
2-wire transmitters (loop-powered):
The transmitter receives power from the 4-20mA loop.
Connect the transmitter positive to IN+ and negative to IN-.
The module provides a 24V DC loop power supply on the IN+ terminal.
No external power supply is needed for the transmitter.
4-wire transmitters (externally powered):
The transmitter has separate power wires and signal wires.
Connect the transmitter power to an external 24V DC supply.
Connect the transmitter signal positive to IN+.
Connect the transmitter signal negative to IN-.
The module does not provide loop power for 4-wire transmitters.
Wiring rules for HART:
Use shielded twisted pair cable (Belden 8760 or equivalent).
Keep cable length under 300 meters for reliable HART communication.
Ground the shield at the module end only.
Separate HART cables from power cables by at least 30cm.
Module Status LEDs and Troubleshooting

Product Authenticity Verification
Allen Bradley 1794-IF8IH modules are commonly counterfeited. Use these checks to verify authenticity.
Front panel color: Genuine modules use a specific beige-gray color consistent with the Flex I/O family. Counterfeits often have a different shade or glossy finish.
Label quality: Genuine labels have permanent printing with the model number 1794-IF8IH clearly visible. Counterfeit labels often have blurry text or peel at edges.
HART label: Genuine modules have a HART label on the front panel. Counterfeits often lack this label.
Terminal block: Genuine terminal blocks are gray and removable. Screws turn smoothly. Counterfeits often use cheap plastic with screws that stick or strip.
Module weight: Genuine 1794-IF8IH weighs approximately 0.2 kg. Counterfeits often feel lighter.
If the module shows incorrect readings or the HART communication fails, suspect a counterfeit. Contact Feimu Technology with photos for verification.
